My pals the pipers were this summer in Scotland. This video -- not their first, but the first I've seen them edit and chip away at -- represents a grand step in storytelling. Lovely to see the highland cattle and Isle of Skye. Hope Paula will soon say what the music here is. Glad to have Paula & Charlie making remnants of their lives to share. Richer for it.

Report from the Animal Kingdom :: The Rooster Returns

For the first 3 years I lived here there was a rooster kept me company in the mornings. He disappeared for the entirety of year four, but now he's back. If you listen carefully, you can hear him throughout my reading of "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and now, again, behind "Washington Square" too. Welcome back, Mr. Rooster.
